1) Immanuel

Say to those with fearful hearts,

“Be strong, do not fear;

Your God will come,

He will come with a vengeance;

With divine retribution

He will come to save you.

Then will the eyes of the blind be opened

And the ears of the deaf be unstopped.

Raise the war cry, you nations, be shattered!

Listen, all you distant lands.

Prepare for battle, and be shattered!

Prepare for battle, and be shattered!

Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted;

Propose your plan, but it will not stand,

For God is with us.

O Immanuel!

Do not fear!

Do not fear!

God is with us!

Do not fear!

Do not fear!

Do not fear!

Immanuel!

Do not fear!

-------SOLO-------

Then spoke Isaiah the Prophet:

“Hear now, you house of David!

It's not enough to try the patience of man?

Will you also try the patience of God?

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign

The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son

And He will be called:

Immanuel!

He will be eating curds and honey

When he knows to reject wrong and choose right

The land of the two kings you dread

Will be laid to waste

The Lord will bring upon you

And on your people and on the house of your father

A time unlike any since

Ephraim from Judah broke away"”

Do not fear!

Do not fear!

God is with us!

Do not fear!

Do not fear!

Do not fear!

Yeshua!

Do not fear!

2) Man of Sorrows

He grew up before Him like a tender shoot,

And like a root out of dry ground.

He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him,

Nothing in His appearance that we should desire

He was despised and rejected by mankind,

A Man of Suffering and familiar with pain.

Like one whom people hide their faces from

He was despised, we held Him in low esteem.

In low esteem!

In low esteem!

In low esteem!

In low esteem!

Man of Sorrows!

Give us the victory!

Over sin!

Give us the victory!

Man of Sorrows!

Give us your victory!

Over sin!

Give us your victory!

-------SOLO-------

Foxes have holes and the birds have their nests

But the Son of Man had no place to rest.

He lived among the poor and sinners were His friends

The Pharisees questioned why He ate with them

He was poor and mixed with Gentiles and Jews

He wasn't adorn with a golden crown

A carpenter's stepson living in Galilee

In His hometown, a Prophet not honored was He

Not honored was He!

Not honored was He!

Not honored was He!

Not honored was He!

Man of Sorrows!

Give us the victory!

Over sin!

Give us the victory!

Man of Sorrows!

Give us your victory!

Over sin!

Give us your victory!

Son of Man!

Give us the victory!

Over sin!

Give us the victory!

Jesus Christ!

Give us your victory!

Over sin!

Give us your victory!

3) Silent before the Shearers

After His arrest He was taken by night to the priest

A joke of a trial, He was sentenced to death

Hauled in by chains by soldiers who then mocked the Christ

They beat and flayed Him and crowned Him with thorns

Pontius Pilate could not find in Him one single crime

That would be deserving of a death on the Cross

The fact that Jesus was from Nazareth in Galilee

Pilate sent Him to King Herod to be judged

"Prophesy!" they taunt Him, with their fists they beat Him, blindfolded He was led away

They strike the Savior, God's chosen Messiah and then they crowned Him with thorns

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

And He did so in the face of their lies

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

There’ll be no miracles seen by their eyes

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

And He did so in the face of their lies

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

There’ll be no miracles seen by their eyes

At Herod's Palace where Jesus was now standing trial

In the Upper City, in sight of Skull Hill

Hauled in by chains by guards who mocked Jesus Christ

Chief priests and teachers accused Him with lies

When he saw Jesus, King Herod was greatly pleased

For long he sought to see a miracle performed

He plied with as many questions as he desired to ask

Herod mocked Jesus when no answers were said

In a robe they clothed him, ridiculed and mocked him, to Pontius Pilate they sent Him away

They mock the Savior, God's only son, Herod and Pilate now friends

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

And He did so in the face of their lies

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

There’ll be no miracles seen by their eyes

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

And He did so in the face of their lies

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

There’ll be no miracles seen by their eyes

-------SOLO-------

Christ was returned to site of the Praetorium

The wife of Pilate warned him to abstain

Pilate called the people, the rulers and the priests

And said to them "You brought me this man

I have examined him and found no grounds for your charge

Neither has Herod who sent him back to me

So I will punish him and release him back to the world-

For he's done nothing, that’s deserving of death."

But the whole crowd shouted, to release Barabbas, and they called him to send Jesus away.

They showed no mercy, Israel's Savior, they just call for His death

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

And He did so in the face of their lies

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

There’ll be no miracles seen by their eyes

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

And He did so in the face of their lies

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

There’ll be no miracles seen by their eyes

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

And He did so in the face of their lies

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

There’ll be no miracles seen by their eyes

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

And He did so in the face of their lies

Silent before the Shears He remained in His chains

There’ll be no miracles seen by their eyes

4) His Blood Is On Us

By oppression and judgment He was taken away.

Yet who of His generation protested?

For He was cut off from the land of the living;

For the transgression of my people He was punished.

Oh and the people cry-out

“Crucify him!”

The same mouths that cried “hosanna” now shout

“Crucify him!”

-CHORUS-

His Blood is on us and Our Children!

His Blood is on us and Our Children!

Betrayed by Judas at night at Gethsemane

Even His disciple Peter denied Him

They weren't there for His hour of suffering

All but John had scattered away

Oh and then Peter cried out

“I don’t know him!”

Who told Jesus he’d die for Him shouts

“I don’t know him!”

-CHORUS-

His Blood is on us and Our Children!

His Blood is on us and Our Children!

5) The Punishment that Brought Us Peace

Father Forgive!

Father Forgive Them!

Father Forgive!

Father Forgive Them!

Pilate found no fault in Him but gave into the people's will

The fear of them instead of God, led him to relent

He washed his hands of Jesus' blood and gave him over to the crowd

The soldiers then forced Jesus Christ to carry His cross

O the punishment that brought us peace, is upon the Lord

The pain of infinite sins on his back made Him cry out to the sky:

Father Forgive!

Father Forgive Them!

Father Forgive!

Father Forgive Them!

On His way to Calvary a death march through the city streets

They forced a man just passing through to carry His cross

The women wept but Jesus said, "Weep not for me, but for your selves"

"The day is near when you will cry out 'Cover us!'"

O the punishment that brought us peace, is upon the Lord

The pain of infinite sins on his back made Him cry out to the sky:

Father Forgive!

Father Forgive Them!

Father Forgive!

Father Forgive Them!

Abba, (Aramaic: Father)

Abba,

Abba

Take this cup from me

Abba, Abba, Abba not what I will, but what you will for me

Holy Jesus Christ

Was conceived by the Spirit's light

Sinless in God's sight

Became sin for the sinners plight

Taken in the night

Sent to death, denied of rights

Jesus Crucified

For our Sin

By His stripes we are healed...

-------SOLO-------

Father Forgive!

Father Forgive Them!

Father Forgive!

Father Forgive Them!

Father Forgive!

Father Forgive Them!

Father Forgive!

Father Forgive Them!

For they know not what they do!

6) By His Wounds We Are Healed

It was the Third Hour, around 9 in the morning

The sun was now blazing in the sky to the east

An innocent man reached the place of His execution

Tapered iron spikes pierced His hands and His feet

They have pierced my hands and my feet

They have numbered all my bones

Surely He took up our pain

And bore our suffering,

We considered Him punished by God,

Stricken by Him, and afflicted.

But He was pierced for our transgressions,

He was crushed for our iniquities;

The punishment that brought us peace was on Him,

And by His wounds we are healed!

-------SOLO-------

It was the Sixth Hour, around noon on that day

The sky now darkened, for three hours it had stayed

He pardons the Good Thief, gives Mary in the care of John

"I thirst" He cried, but only bitterness He found

They have pierced my hands and my feet

They have numbered all my bones

But He was pierced for our transgressions,

He was crushed for our iniquities;

The punishment that brought us peace was on Him,

And by His wounds we are healed!

We all, like sheep, have gone astray,

Each of us has turned to our own way;

And the Lord has lain upon Him

The iniquity of us all

of us all!

of us all!

of us all!

7) A Grave among the Rich and the Wicked

-------SOLO-------

At the ninth hour, Jesus cried to the sky

"It is finished" bowed His head then He died

An earthquake struck the land and the tombs were now opened

The veil of the tabernacle was now torn in two

"Truly this man was the Son of God!"

The Centurion in charge confessed when he seen what he saw

They broke the legs of the thieves to hasten their deaths

They ordered the bodies to be removed from their cross

When they saw Jesus it was clear that He was already dead

So they did not break His legs and they left Him instead

A soldier was ordered to pierce Him with his spear

Blood and water flowed out like a thousand tears

A Grave among the Rich and the Wicked

Where a sinless man lays

A Grave among the Rich and the Wicked

But only for three days

A Grave among the Rich and the Wicked

Where a sinless man lays

A Grave among the Rich and the Wicked

But only for three days

A believing, rich man named Joseph of Arimathea

Went to Pilate and asked for the body of Christ

Pilate was surprised to hear that He was already dead.

Summoned a centurion, to confirm what was said

He heard that it was so, so he gave the body to Joseph.

He took down the body and wrapped it in cloth

Nicodemus helped prepare it with myrrh and aloes

They then took His body to a garden near the cross

Joseph placed the body in a tomb that he owned

Cut out of rock, against the entrance he rolled a stone

Guards stood watch to prevent a theft of the body

A seal was even placed against the entrance of the grave

-------SOLO-------

A Grave among the Rich and the Wicked

Where a sinless man lays

A Grave among the Rich and the Wicked

But only for three days

A Grave among the Rich and the Wicked

Where a sinless man lays

A Grave among the Rich and the Wicked

But only for three days

A Grave among the Rich and the Wicked

Where a sinless man lays

A Grave among the Rich and the Wicked

But only for three days

A Grave among the Rich and the Wicked

Where a sinless man lays

A Grave among the Rich and the Wicked

But only for three days

8) Arisen is the Suffering Servant

There was a violent earthquake,

For an angel of the Lord came down

He went to the tomb,

And rolled back the stone

His appearance was like lightning,

And his clothes were white as snow.

The guards were so afraid of him that

They shook and became like the dead.

The angel said to the women,

“Do not be afraid,

For I know that you are

Looking for Jesus,

He is not here; he has risen,

Just as he said He would.

Come and see the place where he lay.

Then go quickly and tell his friends:

So the women hurried away from the tomb,

Afraid yet filled with joy,

They ran to tell His disciples.

That Jesus had risen from death!

Sanctus! Sanctus! Dominus Deus!

Hosanna in Excelsis!

Sanctus! Sanctus! Dominus Deus!

Hosanna in Excelsis!

While the women were on their way,

Some of the guards went to the city

Reported to the chief priests

Everything they had seen.

The chief priests met with the elders

They devised a fiendish plan,

They gave to the soldiers

A large sum of money to lie,

Telling them what to say

‘His disciples came during the night

And stole him away

While we were asleep’

If this report gets to the governor,

We will keep you out of trouble.”

So the soldiers took the money

And did as they were paid to do

The two disciples then ran to the tomb

Simon Peter and John

They saw that His tomb was now empty

Because Jesus had risen from death!

Sanctus! Sanctus! Dominus Deus!

Hosanna in Excelsis!

Sanctus! Sanctus! Dominus Deus!

Hosanna in Excelsis!

-------SOLO-------

It was evening when Christ appeared in the room

To the eleven disciples

He stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”

Overjoyed when they saw the Lord

Thomas refused to believe the account

Unless he could touch Christ's wounds

Jesus appeared to him and then he believed

"Blessed are those who have not seen and still believe.”

9) Worthy is the Lamb

He'll have a portion among the great

Divides the spoils with the strong

Poured out His life unto death

And was numbered with sinners

For He bore the sin of many

And made intercession for the lost

Worthy is Our Lord Jesus!

And Worthy is The Lamb!

“Do not let your hearts be troubled.

You believe in God; believe in me.

My Father’s house has many rooms;

If that were not so, would I have told you?

And if I prepare a place for you,

I will come back and take you to be with me

That you may be where I am.

You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,

And though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,

He will see his seed and he shall prolong his days,

And the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.

Lamb of God!

You take away our sins!

O Lamb of God!

Worthy is the Lamb!

O Lamb of God!

Jesus Christ is Lord!

O Lamb of God!

You take away the sins of the world!

-------SOLO-------

Arise; shine, for your light has come,

The glory of the Lord has risen on you.

Darkness shall cover the earth,

And thick darkness the peoples

But the Lord will arise upon you,

And his glory will be seen on you.

Nations shall come to your light,

And kings to the brightness of your rising.

Jesus said to His disciples:

“I am the way and the truth and the life.

No one comes to the Father

Except through me.

If you really know me,

You will know my Father as well.

From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

By the Blood of the Lamb!

Lamb of God!

You take away our sins!

O Lamb of God!

Worthy is the Lamb!

O Lamb of God!

Jesus Christ is Lord!

O Lamb of God!

You take away the sins of the world!
